Free Special Event
Zine Workshop
with Lisa Wilde, JVL Wildcat Academy
Offered in partnership with WeWork
Thursday, December 13, 2018
Registration is now closed.

Join zine-maker Lisa Wilde and create your own zine. No experience needed. Just come with the beginning of an idea: a very short narrative, a poem, a character, a joke, an anecdote, a concept—whatever, as long as it has a visual component. You’ll be making accordion zines with fabric covers. We’ll provide paper, covers, fabric, glue, scissors, and colored pencils. Feel free to bring magazines, comic books, photographs, can labels, markers, crayons—whatever you think might be useful in illustrating your zine.

Lisa Wilde is a teacher and artist. Her most recent zine, Yo, Miss #6: Changes, Vengeance, Trump and the Eumenides, was shortlisted for a 2018 Broken Pencil Zine Award. She has taught at John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy, a second-chance high school in New York City, for twenty years.
