Fun & Games w/ Bhargava & Katz
with Professors Manjul Bhargava and Joshua Katz
Offered in partnership with Friends Seminary
Thursday, April 28, 2016

Two of Princeton’s brightest lights lead this playful, interactive program of numeric and linguistic puzzles. Manjul Bhargava, a math professor who won the 2014 Fields Medal, sometimes called the “Nobel Prize” for mathematicians, and Joshua Katz, a classics professor described as a “Princeton rock star,” will divide participants into small groups to tackle mathematical and word-based puzzles the professors use in their popular undergraduate seminars: Bhargava’s “The Mathematics of Magic Tricks and Games” and Katz’s “Wordplay: A Wry Plod from Babel to Scrabble.”
