Throughout their careers, Kenneth Cole, iconic designer and entrepreneur, and Marc Schneider, CEO of Kenneth Cole Productions, have worked from within the corporate model to promote social progress through ad campaigns, corporate philanthropy, and company initiatives that encourage employee activism. Similarly, teachers—seeking to awaken the activist impulse in students—work from within the educational system to offer service learning opportunities as well as creative ways for young people to engage their communities and bring attention to a multitude of problems and injustices. This Master Class will examine the challenges and possibilities of working for progress within corporate and school environments.

Marc Schneider, Chief Executive Officer of Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc., is a veteran in retail and wholesale businesses with over 30 years of experience. He believes that people are an organization’s greatest resource and has long been involved in promoting corporate social responsibility.
