Ever wanted to partner dance? Already do but want to expand your repertoire? Then come on down! Flannery is excited to teach y’all to waltz and Cajun two-step! No experience necessary.

Academy for Teachers Fellow Flannery Denny (@mathtrailmaker) is a passionate progressive educator. She started her career as a NYC Teaching Fellow at IS 227Q in 2003. More recently, she taught math and activism at Manhattan Country School before moving to Louisiana, where she develops math curricula that use student life experience to build engagement, curiosity, and mastery. She facilitates professional-development workshops across the country and is a regular contributor to Rethinking Schools. She’s a proud co-founder of Swamp in the City, a Cajun music festival in Brooklyn, which this year takes place May 17–19.
