For decades, Coach Bobby Hurley coached students in a poor Catholic high school in Jersey City. He led them to so many championships that he earned himself a spot in the Basketball Hall of Fame, a feat matched by only two other high school coaches. In this master class, this legendary hero will put K-12 basketball coaches through their paces as they learn his “must-do” drills and explore his strategies for getting kids to work together even as they achieve their personal bests.

Bob Hurley, Sr. was the basketball coach at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, New Jersey for decades. His accomplishments are monumental. He is one of three high school coaches inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Under his watch, St. Anthony’s produced more than 150 NCAA Division I players, five NBA first-round draft picks, won 27 state championships, and more than 1,000 wins. He is the subject of a biography, The Miracle of St. Anthony’s, by Adrian Wojnarowski, and was profiled on CBS’s “Sixty Minutes.”

“It was extremely beneficial to hear the successes and challenges that other coaches are navigating. I realized that there were a lot of similarities to our experiences. The class gave me a community to talk to.”
Marcus McArthur, City-As-School High School
